End of Month Notes: September

End of month notes: September

I can't quite believe September has come and gone.

It was such a full month. A new season, two new sets, a new category, more depth in the detailing, and someone new at the desk. So many moments I've been wanting to share with you.

PALME September

We launched a new category - our silk accessories have finally arrived(!!), I have been looking forward to sharing them with you.

An eye mask and matching scrunchie in grade 6A mulberry silk, OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certified, in Chocolate and Dusty Pink. Soft and cool against the skin, a gentle place to rest your eyes at the end of the day. Each set comes wrapped in a custom PALME box, for yourself or for someone you love.

Last month we also introduced two new seasonal sets, the Margot and the Daphne. I loved designing these.

Every piece we add to the range has to earn its place, made to be worn and kept, never simply just for the sake of adding more. Both are cut from certified organic cotton in shell pink, each with its own small personal details. The Margot, an oversized shirt and short with deep brown piping and tortoiseshell buttons. The Daphne, a fitted baby tee with a soft wide-leg pant. It has meant so much watching them start to find their way to you.

Anthony, my husband, officially joined PALME! It is such a turning point for us, in more ways than one. Until now it's been me at the helm, with Anthony building our website and managing our marketing late at night, once he was home from work and we'd put the girls to bed together. It was a tiring rhythm, and I'm glad we can finally let it go.

Anthony now looks after our e-commerce, marketing and the day-to-day running of the business, while I look after design, production and press. Our strengths sit easily alongside each other, and having him beside me full time means more than I can say. Building our family and a business side by side is not something I take for granted.

We shot our SS26 campaign.

It was an absolute joy to have Lily in front of the camera for this one, and to have Britt Murphy back behind it as our lead photographer.

Britt has shot every PALME campaign since we launched, and there is a real ease in working with someone who knows the brand as well as she does. I'm grateful to everyone who was there on the day. Shoot days have a feeling all their own. It's the day the vision and the designs finally come to life.

We introduced our new tags and labels. This one is close to my heart, because it marks the point where we can give real care to the smallest details, the ones you only notice once a piece is yours. A debossed hang tag, a soft woven label, and on the care label, a little note from me to you. Next time you're folding one of your pieces away, take a look.

Last month our factory delivered an order larger than any we have placed before, which felt daunting and wonderful in equal measure.

I couldn't resist taking a photo of Anthony helping the driver unload box after box. For now, a spare room at home has become our stock room, until the day we can onboard a warehouse. Every order you place is still packed by me, here at home, and folded into its cotton satchel before it makes its way to you.

One Sunday morning I finally sat down to sort through all of my sample swatches. Gigi found me there and wanted to help. It was a strange and lovely feeling, working on PALME with her beside me, and I know I'll hold on to that morning. Two dreams of mine, quietly meeting in the same room.

Looking ahead, two new sets are on their way for next winter. One in an updated pointelle, and one I find myself thinking about far more than I can help, a set in merino and cashmere. I'll share more with you as it takes shape.

Thank you for being part of all of this, for every order and every kind word along the way.

Tami x
